Cat Power does a wonderful, sultry version of that song, and I recommend it. It’s on the “I’m Not There” soundtrack, which incidentally is a pretty neat film.
Anyway, we went to evensong at Christ college tonight. Another absolutely beautiful choir, and I love sitting in those desk things. It’s a completely different environment. The chapel wasn’t as nice as St. Johns, but that did not detract from the service. And after every evensong they have sherry after the service. It’s a win-win situation, I guess. How generous.
Afterwards Jenna, Courtney, Samuli and I got some greek food at this little hole in the wall place down an alley and had nice conversation.
Tomorrow I have Greek at nine, and then pericope at 2, and then house tea, etc. And then all the ladies of the house are going out to a coffee shop and we’re going to do some trip-planning I believe. Tuesday evening we’re going to a knitting group at a pub, and I guess it’s a pretty wild time, believe it or not. I just started a project today, so I just need to write down the pattern and I’m all set.
It’s poll time! What two countries should I definitely visit during my month long break? The UK will be taken care of during the term over long weekends. So getting into Europe, what can I not leave without seeing?
If you can get there, go to Prague. I would suggest that the three of you go together because it is an eastern country and such, but: its a fairy tale city and thus absolutely gorgeous, its really cheap once you are there on the american dollar, and even though its a different language, most everyone speaks english. i love prague. also, if you are interested, when we were in vienna, we realized that if we had the time, we could’ve done prague, bratislava, budapest, vienna and even zurich all in one trip by taking the train. it might be more expensive than staying in one spot, but it could be fun…
Also Greece is wonderful if you have the inclination to go… and would be warm. That’s always a plus. But whatever you decide will be wonderful. It’s the greatest thing about being in Europe. So many cities, so much gorgeous culture, so close together.

Ruth! GO TO ITALY! and i would also say germany, but i am slightly biased. and this is a comment about your other blog…but i wouldnt count on getting three credits for pericope, sorry to burst your bubble, but betsy and i only got 1.
the girls will get more probly since they are staying longer than you.
